Positioning a Healthcare Division for Independence — and Acquisition

This project was completed while working in-house at Humanscale Healthcare. It is representative of the work JAX Product Content Solutions offers clients.
Humanscale Healthcare made clinical point-of-care workstations and medication management software — but operated under a parent brand built for the office furniture market. It had no distinct identity, no clear product portfolio structure and no dedicated web presence. To clinical buyers, it looked like an office furniture company that happened to sell healthcare equipment.
The work covered three connected areas. A PIM platform was designed and built to centralise product data and automate publishing to dealer channels. The product portfolio was restructured from scratch, with clear category architecture and messaging written to speak directly to clinical buyers. And an external agency was briefed and managed to develop a distinct brand identity for the division, alongside a dedicated website built to match.
Humanscale Healthcare emerged as a coherent, credible standalone business — with its own brand, its own web presence across 3 product categories and 6 product lines, and its own product narrative. A dedicated LinkedIn presence was built from scratch and grew to 1,000+ followers, establishing the division's profile directly with clinical buyers. In February 2022 the division was acquired by Capsa Healthcare. While the acquisition reflected multiple strategic factors, establishing the division as a clearly defined, independent business contributed to its clarity and appeal as an acquisition target.
